Our team is firmly committed to executing our mission, and our day-to-day activities are entirely youth-led. The Centre consists of a Board of Directors, Adult Advisory Board, Executive Board, National Staff, and National Volunteers.

Samad Quraishi

FOUNDER/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Samad is the Founder and Executive Director at the Centre for Voters Initiative & Action, and also oversees all departments at the Centre.

Starting as a group of four friends working to involve themselves in the civic process, Samad's journey with the Centre began on a random day when he found a "dead bill" promoting voter registration in high school from a few sessions of Congress ago. Inspired, he gathered his closest friends, and began cold-emailing hundreds of Congressional offices.

Since then, the Centre has grown into an international institution, championing policy discussions and bridging the gap between marginalised voices and government officials. Samad works regularly on policy efforts in the Americas, whilst simultaneously connecting with international partners to ensure people across the world can have their voices represented.
