MIAMI, FLORIDA — Mr. Samad QURAISHI, Director at the Centre for Voters Initiative & Action, travelled to Miami, Florida this past weekend to present his innovative solution on increasing a more secure tomorrow to various representatives at the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, State Department, and more. He was sponsored as a Youth Summit Challenge Winner, one of fifteen changemakers, to speak on the urgency of civic engagement.
The thematic focus of the Summit was on the role of youth in “shaping a more secure tomorrow”, and offered the Centre the ability to connect with leaders worldwide and to affirm our commitment to global peace and stability.
Mr. Quraishi’s participation highlights the importance of the Centre’s cultivation for dialogue between youth and other changemakers in the field of policy, assuring that even pre-collegiate students have a seat at the table.
On behalf of the Centre, Mr. Quraishi affirmed that future generations of NATO civil societies must pursue security and stability, but realises they cannot do so without education our youth to be actively participating in the democratic processes.
Education is undoubtedly the pillar in forming a more secure tomorrow, and the Centre is firmly committed to these ideals.
